Hello, I’m Jen Albritton

I'm so glad you're here.

If you're reading this, you're likely curious about my journey and what led me to support women like you through somatic healing.

Here are the highlights of how I got here and what fuels the work I do today.

I grew up in a family marked by divorce and experienced trauma early on. In college, I juggled the demands of being a competitive volleyball athlete with the absence of a stable family environment. Thankfully, I met and married my husband — a true answer to my Primal Question (PQ4): “Am I wanted?” — (You can take the free assessment on my homepage to learn yours.)

My 20s were a whirlwind of fun, growth, and blissful unawareness.

Then came the deeply transformative (and humbling) journey of adopting our two sons.

The Beauty and the Burn of Adoption

Adoption is a sacred, beautiful gift — but it’s often entangled with deep trauma, especially attachment trauma. At the time, I didn’t understand how profound that wound could be: for a baby to suddenly lose their first attachment, their birth mother. It wasn’t until much later that I came to understand the pain I saw and felt in our home.

Trying to mother through my own unmet need

— the “thing under the thing” of feeling unwanted —

while parenting children navigating their own attachment wounds… it broke me open.

My nervous system collapsed. I was physically and emotionally exhausted, living in a fog of persistent pain, chronic fatigue, and a steady stream of medical appointments. I didn’t know then what I know now — that the body carries our stories, our stress, and our healing.

How I Found My Way Home

My path back to wholeness came through yoga therapy, holistic medicine, my growing faith, and a handful of angelic therapists and wise teachers. These tools didn’t just help me feel better — they helped me understand myself and my body in a completely new way.

Today, our family is thriving. Our sons are growing into grounded, compassionate young adults.

And I have the honor of walking with others through their own journeys of healing and wholeness.

Since 2008, I’ve been sharing these tools and insights through 1:1 sessions and small group coaching — integrating psychology, neuroscience, and somatic-based practices that support deep, sustainable healing.

What I Believe

I believe life is full of “bothness” — the beauty and the brokenness, the joy and the sorrow. It’s all part of the human experience. I also believe that no matter how far gone you feel, it is possible to reclaim a sense of joy and peace — even in the middle of the mess.

Our bodies hold the wisdom.
We just need the right support to help us listen.

My Approach

You are uniquely you — and you are not alone.

I help women move toward lasting healing by addressing the whole person: mind, body, heart, and soul.

Together, we’ll use therapeutic movement and embodied coaching to:

  • Create safety in the nervous system

  • Release stored stress and emotion

  • Build a more loving relationship with yourself

  • Reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence

  • Discover sustainable tools to support your everyday life

Two truths I hold deeply:

  1. You are the expert in you.
  2. Change is absolutely possible.

But you can’t think your way into a new way of living. You have to feel and live your way there. And I’m here to walk beside you.
